Tiger is one of the four mythical Guardian Animals in Buddhist mythology; Tiger, Snow Lion, Garuda and Dragon. They are also known as the Four Auspicious Beasts. Their masks are often hanged together in Buddhist houses to protect and overcome the sufferings of the lifecycle (birth, sickness, getting old and death).
